I really need to start organising revision notes etc. I didn’t read the book originally, so I have set myself a target I must meet everyday, which means I should finish it in three days. I am going to keep re-reading it like this. I have also bought a notebook so I can like.. make my own revision guide and I have bought some revision cards. Can anyone help me with sections I should do? And revision tips in general? My exam is in six weeks so hopefully I have left myself with enough time to get organised.

In the Dark

It was a cold winter night when Misty Curtis flung herself onto her soft bed. She hurriedly grabbed the nearby notebook and jotted down all she could remember from that day. She had kept these journals for years and thought she’d never stop. Remembering the party she had just come from, she, let her hand wiz over the paper and bent her head a tad to get a better look at what she was writing. Her thick, wavy Brown hair draped over her shoulder and every once in a while she would look up from her work and run her fingers through it smoothly. She joined her top lip with the lower one and gently rubbed them together, concentrating on her hand. Her fingers ached from discomfort of the rough pencil and she rubbed them. After she finished her routine of journaling she stood up and smoothed out the wrinkles of the glossy comforter that flowed over her bed. Misty loved her bed. Whenever she’d look at its excellence, it’d make her feel…so relaxed and satisfying. She would look at it and want to lift into the air like an angel and slowly land into its sponge. Her parents had bought her the mattress a year before she was a teenager. She now had it for two years and loved to wrap herself in a warm blanket and surrender to its large fluff. Daydreaming in the double bed was getting to know her even better. She lay there idly and thoughts corrupted her mind and she no longer was in this world she knew so well. She was in the world of her own fantasy and carried on with her daily inauguration the way she had dreamt it was. Creation was very interesting in her opinion and to her delight was fun to make up other ways it could have happened. She knew it was juvenile, but to her surprise, she didn’t care. She was so fond of animals and life her imagination took her to places she had never been before. Places the world never even heard of. And it all existed happily in her awareness.
Misty Curtis’ father, Andrew, was a very wealthy man. He bought Misty whatever she wanted when she was little. He tried to now but Misty was becoming more independent and wanted to earn money herself. She was almost fifteen and could drive steadily. When she first tried all around her seemed to fade as she would concentrate only on driving. Andrew was sitting in the passenger seat guiding her through the process of parking the car in the driveway and unfortunately Misty was completely unconscious of which pedal was accelerate and which was break. He tried to explain but, predictably, she wouldn’t listen. She already started the car and pushed the break and the car wouldn’t go. To his surprise, Misty, confused at how the car would not go, turned the reverse on and tried the other pedal. The car darted and smashed into the garage door before Andrew could do anything to stop it. The car was crushed pretty badly and Misty’s reputation of driving was turned from unknown to appalling.
Misty’s memories of that day were ghastly and unpleasant so she tried not to think about it. But a year after the incident Misty could drive constantly without hesitation. Her father finally regained his trust and let her get her take Driver’s Ed. The process was over and she now only waited for the delight of getting her permit.
Interrupting her daydreaming Misty remembered that she was not yet fully ready for the night. This meant she could no longer trance and delay sleep any longer.
Minutes later, she came back completely ready for her captivation of the marvelous bed. As she lay there, in complete darkness all except for the light of the air, her dreams enthralled her and she listened to them slowly whispered faintly into her ear and she desired to breathe the way the dreams made her feel. Like a fresh stream that bubbled into her presence and tempts her to lay in it and relax while the cool water caressed and pleased her. Her eyes closed lazily and her mind shut down for the night and the temptation of the stream had overcome as she dreamed.

I am headed to Honduras in the Peace Corps and need a good durable notebook to take with me. I can’t spend more than maybe ,500 but I need it to be pretty durable since I will be leaving it there (I will donate it to a school or organization at the end of my service). I don’t want it to poop out on me, or especially them! Should I go semi-rugged or fully rugged on the laptop? Any suggestions?

I would have to make this cd by myself when I on it first time but I did not it that time can I make window back up cd now there is alos a recovery disk creation option will i have to use this option and I asked same question with hp helper and they replied me…….as I would request you to reinstall the windows either through recovery partition if recovery partition has been shipped with the Notebook by performing the below mention workaround.

1. Press the power button to turn on the PC, and press F11 on the keyboard immediately while the computer is starting up. The HP Backup and Recovery Manager window will appear.

2. Click advanced options, select the System recovery option, and then click next.

3. If the Recovery Solution can access the hard drive it displays a prompt to backup up user files before continuing the recovery. You may either backup your files, or skip the backup and recover the operating system.

4. If the Recovery Solution cannot access the hard drive to fix the system errors, use the set of Recovery disks that you created to recover the hard drive to its original condition.

Note: – Personal data and software you have installed on the notebook will be lost during the OS reinstall. HP recommends that you make a backup copy of all personal data before beginning this process. HP is not responsible for any data loss.

Regarding dual boot operating system I would also need to inform you that HP does not recommend dual boot of operating system.

OK I will be honest, I have NO idea what a wireless card does on a notebook. I believe it’s for connecting to the internet without wires, right? Anyways, My buddy had a laptop too, and he can connect in places where I can’t because my computer does not register a connection. Now, Is there something I can buy for my laptop to get more signal in places where I usually do not have any? Or is there a way to make my own connection to the internet? If so, can someone guide me through the steps? Also, if you can answer ALL three of these questions, you’ll get a whopping 10 points!

I really want to buy a 13′ macbook pro but I checked the Mac Buyers’ Guide and it said that I should wait because it seems that Apple will soon come up with an update for the Mac book Pro. However, after studying the patterns of update, I find that most of the time the updates only affects the MBP 15′ and 17′ and not the 13′. Is this true? Should I wait for the next update (which could be in one or two months) or should I just purchase the 13′ straight away as I am notebook-less right now. TQ!

I just bought a new notebook (on which I am typing write now), and I am trying to copy my Nano music files to the blank iTunes library installed on this computer. Apple does make it an unnecessarily painful process. So apparently I can only sync music from library to player but not the reverse. I suppose it’s their attempt to stop the proliferation of pirated music within their system, irrelevant. I notice now there is an option to transfer songs purchased from Apple and only Apple. A.) This process did not work the three times I tried it B.) The music purchased through iTunes is a small fraction of my total library. I read some guides via Google but it seems they are outdated to the new version of iTunes. How do I copy my iPod library to a blank iTunes library?

So there are two soundtracks to the Twilight movie?? I just found that out yesterday I already bought the original motion picture soundtrack but in the editor’s notebook (that I also have =D) Catherine says that there’s one called ‘The Score – Music by Carter Burwell’ HOW COME I’VE NEVER SEEN IT IN STOREZ ANYWHERE??Btw I live in Bahrain (The Middle East) So does that mean the soundtrack is not in stock here and in the soundtrack I already have, there are 12 songs the thirteenth song, Rob Pattinson – Let Me Sign, aint there WHY?? And there’s another book something called the official guide to the Twilight saga something like that, Why does Stepahnie Meyer NEVER publish her books and Always makes us wait?? Is she like teaching us patience or something?And does anyone have any idea how much more they have to film for the movie? I know it’’s coming out on November 20th but that’s in the USA is the date for the Middle East different? Please only answer if you know what you’re saying okay and only REAL Twilight fans please I don’t like phonies!! IT’S STILL OK/WITH MANY OF MY VIDEO AND MUSIC FILES

Obviously I can’t open the 2nd HD cos there’s no OS to open it.

My options are:

1st – Buy a IDE to USB cable, transfer filles from internal WD HD to my notebook (after clearing all files in notebook to my EXT WD HD)

2nd – Install Win XP Pro into the Internal WD HD without deleting existing files.

My question is, if I choose the 2nd option, what are the step by step guide? I haven’t done it before. I am still frantically searching for the Win Xp Pro CD. I didn’t know where I put it. Any of you can lend me?

Any of you could help in giving me the step by step guide?

Just bought a new gateway MD7818u notebook, can anyone help me understand use, technology is not my thing, thought it looked easy to use, but no reference guide, to find in hard drive and I can’t find, can not find anything in gateway on line, I don’t understand how to use the illuminated media controls and no WIFI switch that I can find to turn on or off, I know these are dumb questions, but I really do need help, I’m using my old desktop still as not on line with this new laptop, it also tells me I have lost windows help and support and don’t know how to get it back, would very much appreciate any help!

I have a HP Pavilion zd8120cl laptop. I bought new hard drive because I needed a faster, larger capacity drive. I don’t want to clone, I’d like to reinstall everything for a fresh start. I was hoping you guys could give me some ideas of what to expect and answer some questions.

What I have:
*two discs (came with notebook)
-Operating System CD (it’s xp home, servpack 2)
-Application and Driver Recovery DVD
*new hard drive
*I also bought an enclosure for the hard drive I’m taking out so I can use it as an external hd. I won’t erase anything on it until I’ve got the new one up and running.

Questions:
1. After inserting new hard drive, I just need to boot from OS cd, right? I don’t need to do anything else?
2. Every windows setup guide online recommends creating a partition for the os, how does that work? Will OS cd do it for me or do I do it myself? If so, how much space should I partition?
3. If something goes wrong, I can always put back in my old hd, right?
4. Any other tips?
Also, the driver CD should have all the drivers I need, right? ….At least all the ones that my notebook had installed the day I got it? (I know I’ll have to update some of them)

And, if you guys could direct me towards a website with really good step by step directions I could print out, that’d be great.
Sorry guys, one more question, will I have to do anything to the BIOS?
