Laptop Maintenance…help?!?
My laptop is really sticky/dirty and I think its time to clean it up. My sister uses it all the time but sometimes there’s dirt or she sneezes on the screen.. I was already told NOT to use water or anything on it. How do I get off the dirt on the laptop screen, laptop mouse (the little touch pad and the two buttons as the little clickers or whatever), and the areas surrounding the keyboards? Its really rough and my fingers get all sorts of unidentified stickies on it. Also what can I use besides water to get it off? I’m pretty sure you can’t use liquids or anything so what is there that I can use for cleaning it up?Thanks, I’ve really been meaning to clean it up for a long time, just not sure how

It’s a good idea to clean the laptop when it’s powered off.
Also, you’re right about "no liquids," but the main idea behind that is to not allow liquids to seep into the computer itself. Try using a paper towel with some windex on it — but not enough to drip or squeeze into the computer while you are cleaning it.
I use Windex wipes to clean my computer and have never had any functionality problems. If you think you may have gotten something into the computer, leave it open overnight so that it’s completely dry when you start it up again.
for the screen you can find a cleaner at like best buy or one of those stores and you can use it on everything else just be sure to turn off your comp before you do it and wait 15 mins or so before restarting
I use those disenfectant wipes. Or any everyday household cleaner wipe.
