If your job requires the use of a computer, the Army will supply one to you. That being said, it would not be allowed for personal use.
If you want a personal laptop, you’re just as well off buying one from Circuit City or Best Buy. The Base/Post/Ship/Marine Exchange carries a token selection of them, but you can probably do better price-wise with the larger retailers.
