I just recently bought a used panasonic laptop and it doesnt come with alot of stuff like the harddrive, hard drive caddy, cd rom, ac adapter, and battery. But i figure i could get those parts over time. My question is its that where besides ebay would i beable to find these parts and also where could i find a repair manual so i would know what im doing. The make and model is Panasonic toughbook cf 37. I have tried looking at a few sites already but i havent had much luck. I dont know if i might be typing the wrong thing in or what. I have a 6 month old Gateway laptop with no major problems, but is it like a car where you should take it in to be sure. Also any other advise on maintenance would be appreciated.

I am looking for a laptop that will last for a fairly large amount of time, around 5+ years. It does not have to be a gaming computer, or have a load of processing power. I just need something that will last a long time, can use word processing and other office products, and internet. Fairly fast internet would be nice, but I am looking to keep the price down so it is not a necessary factor. And not macs, because I have had some bad experiences with macs requiring a lot of professional maintenance. The most important parts of the laptop would be long lasting, easy to use, and not requiring professional maintenance. The lower the price, the better.

I live in an apartment complex and have a strong suspicion that the maintenance workers are coming inside when I am away.
I’d like to set up some type of surveillance, possibly wireless because I do not have any video recording devices, nor do I want to leave my laptop out in the opening.

I am 15 and at senior school so I want a laptop the will be good for schoolwork, but It needs to have enought memory ram etc. so that it does not clog up and slow down once I store my music, videos, games etc. on it the problem is that my parents have given me a small price range (no more than £1,500) which, when I need all these features may not be enough. it doesn’t have to be strong but, knowing me, I will probably drop it or spill something on it and something like the "toughbook" from rock would be ideal if it wasn’t so pricey. I do regular maintenance with disc clean up and defrag.. There is only on other user on the main comp. But it often happens even when the other comp is not on. Is there anything I can buy to boost the speed, as I keep getting cut off.
